Hey Bro- its been more than a year since that day we went snowboarding, and it really sucked that when i got back from Hawaii, i thought you were a "turd" for not getting back to me about going up again. I wish I would have come looking for you sooner; but since I found out about you, and went to go see you in the hospital, I've been coming to this site. I've kept my eye on you. Your Mom and Dad have done a great job taking care of you. I can't imagine what it must have taken to sit beside You and wait for God. Thank You. Nick- I want to hear about whats going on, from your side. I want to know what you, personaly are dealing with. I want updates signed, -Nick. You're a long way from the start line, and I think its time to steer.

Hi Nick, Guy, Debby, and family,
I continue to pray for each of you daily!! Nick I can't believe how far you have recovered, but I know that you are still working to strengthen and restore your body. May God encourage you every day as you continue to rely and trust in Him. I am reminded of these words from 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
Please know that there are many who continue to stand in the gap for you.
Love in Christ, Brenda Johns

I'm sorry you don't feel well, compared to other days. And I know that I can't understand what you go through exactly, and I don't even know what to say to you, but hugs, prayers, donations, and loads of love go out to you. You have such an awesome testimony. I've never met you in person but I look up to you, Nick.
Don't lose heart. We love you!

Happy Monday morning to you!
What great news to hear that Nick is standing. I was just talking to a doctor yesterday who had seen Nick's CT brain scan. I gave him the update on Nick and he was totally shocked and amazed at how far Nick has progressed. God is good, isn't He! When our family comes North again, maybe around Thanksgiving, we'll give you a call. We would love to come by for a visit and to re-count God's blessings. You continue to be in our prayers. Give Nick a big hug for us all.

Hey Nick! This is your long lost 2nd(3rd?) Cousin Val. I'm back in New Jersey, so it's sad I can't visit you. But while I'm back here, floating on the waves, I'm thinking of you. How someday you're gonna come back and learn to surf with me and Vinnie, right? It's been a blessing meeting you and seeing how God has worked in your life. Uncle Guy, Aunt Debbie, and Cousin Mel, please take care. Being through a similar situation before, seeing you guys is a kind of Deja'vu. It's a terrible time, but you guys are doing really well. You know sometimes when you're in the Ocean and a massive (or Nick might say "Hardcore") wave comes up, towering over your head, you might say a quick little prayer in your head before this monster engulfs you. But I'll be praying for you guys first. Much Love -Cousin ValLang, Sea Isle City, NJ
Dear Maniscalco family,
I was just thinking about you and Nick's progress this morning (before I received the update - which I have followed since Nick's accident). I don't know Nick but have been praying for him since we first heard of his accident. I work here at Walla Walla University Girl's Dorm and want you to know how much I appreciate your updates. I follow them as if he were my own family member. It's great to hear of Nick's progress and I say a prayer for him each time I recieve them. I praise God for your courage and stammina, Guy and Debby. I know this can't be easy to keep us posted on Nick's progress, but I want to thank you for your them. They keep us reminded that God is very much alive and performing miracles and answers to prayers. I will continue to pray for Nick as well as you, his parents. I would say "God be with you", but He already is!

I came across your website becaue I was searching for pictures of Lake Roosevelt. My name is Bryan and I grew up on Lake Roosevelt. It seems as though we might have shared a passion for wakeboarding on that beautiful lake. I want to wish you the love and encouragement from a fellow rider who hurts for your pain.
I also noticed your accident took place on January 27. That is my birthday. I will forever remember that day not only as my birthday but as a time of prayer for you. Stay strong Brother.
May our Father, watch over you with much love and healing during this difficult time in your life. May he allow you to walk on the water as you once did. May he allow your life and your story influence and touch the lives of people around the world. And may he allow us to unite in Heaven with a boat and a couple of boards. Father be with Nick to guide him, with in Nick to love him, in front of Nick to show him, behind Nick to guard him and above Nick to bless him.
I pray this in your beloved son's name. Amen.
Nick im thinking about you and your family daily...miss your great personality and kindered spirit....
You are the ultimate healer God, and I just pray that you heal nick God and that you just provide for their family the funds for their piling bills as nick slowly recovers God. I pray that you be with his family through this time of healing..and may your blessings be upon Nick and his family..AMEN

Nick, Guy, and Debby -
It was SUCH a blessing to see you all at UCA's grad on Sunday. What an incredible gift to those graduates, and what a wonderful testimony to the entire audience. Reading the updates is one thing, but seeing a miracle in the making right in front of your eyes is most certainly something we don't get every day. It was wonderful. Blessings and prayers on your continued recover. God is truly working here.
-Melissa MacPhee, WWU
Nick, seeing you today at Upper Columbia Academy at the graduation ceremony was SO amazing!!! You and your family have been SUCH an awesome awesome awesome inspiration to every person who has heard your story. God is so tangible in your life that you can just feel His presence in each part of this beautiful story that he is revealing through you and your family. Thank you so much for letting go and letting God. I pray that He will continue to lift you up and heal you.
-A former classmate from Upper Columbia Academy
As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.~ Psalm 138:3, NLT
nick we're praying for you in Tillamook, OR. i recently found out about your accident. i'm going through a stressful time and to hear about your successes makes it seem as if my difficulties can't compare. there are no words to describe how God has touched my life as result of your victories. i just want you to know that he is taking your life and doing amazing things with it. what more could we ask from God but that His power work in our lives to accomplish His will. one of my classmates said in a speech that the strongest people in our society are truly those that are somehow limited. i would never have been able to understand that except for your story. even though i have full use of my body, your life has more of God's strength and power in one day than perhaps i will ever experience.
nick me and my family have been paying for your recovery for a long time. we just wish you will get better. i can't imagine what your family is going through but i just wanted you and your family to know that your family is in our prayers.
p.s. i'm buying one of your shirts to support you. brittney faul, richland washington
Nick & family, So, so happy to read about all of your improvements. Much glory and honor to Yahweh our Great Physcian...your wonderful accomplishments are for sure evidence that our Heavenly Father is STILL on the Throne!! Many thanks also to your many caregivers and your precious family for all the love and attention they are able to bestow upon you daily. Keep up the good work. I am continually praying for you here in Chicago everyday. Rebekah Kneal (aunt of Dustin D. Horn...will graduate this wknd from UCA)
Dear Friends,
Praise the LORD for all miracles, small or large, we are thankful that Nick has been transferred to St. Luke's...always watching for news on him, & the miracles GOD keeps giving....sometimes we are looking for large miracles we overlook the small things, like sight, speech, movement, etc....for when we look beyond ourselves, we see others worse off than us...what a wonderful GOD, HE never forsakes us, & I pray changes in Nick will draw many people to HIM....May GOD always be glorified...each day brings HIS return closer.....What a glorious day that will be...In the meantime we lift Nick in prayer....Thank you, LORD for loving us...GOD Bless each & everyone who believes....Wanda & Jerry
Hey God! I wrote you a prayer from this site a few months ago and I thought it was about time that I did so again. I got to talk to Nick on the phone with about a thousand other pathfinders this last saturday. I am not a pathfinder, but was invited by my friend. Nick's family is so great. They love Nick so much, and I just want to ask that you lead Nick's family through this stuggle of Nick's recovery. He has come so so far. Please keep working in his life. You are the ultimate healer. Please give Nick movement to his left leg. I am sure it would devastate him to not be able to walk ever again. He is such a great guy. Even though I have never met him in person. I feel like I have known him forever. He has been such a blessing to my life and many other people. He has touched my heart, and I want to life him and his family up to you. Encourage their hearts. Give them undying faith that you will heal him. He is such a good guy, Lord. Not to mention a devoted Christian. You used him as a miracle to show the world. You are awesome, Lord. Thank you so much. In Your mighty name I pray. AMEN
Hurrah Nick! We are so glad you are able to talk and communicate. It must have been frustrating before to be able to understand and yet couldn't respond. We are continuing to pray for you every day. Tell your parents we love reading all the updates. God Bless, The Meyerholtzes
In the past few months, we have left occassional notes for your folks in hopes that someday, they would be able to share them with you, but as we continue to read the updates every 3 days, we now rejoice that we can send you a note personally and that you are now able to join in all of our joy! What a miracle to have you back and what an incredible family you have that have been so good at sharing with all of us of your progress. God truly has great plans for you in the very fact that you have survived this accident. We continue to pray many times a day for you and are thrilled with your progress. Your Friends, Bruce, Val, Ryan (Kelowna, B.C.) and Rhonda Prokopetz(Walla Walla College)

Hi again Nick from Down Under! This is Paula from Perth, Western Australia (on the opposite side of the country from Sydney!) I am praying for continued healing for you, and praise to the Lord for your recovery thus far.
God bless, Paula
When I hear that you might be going to St. Lukes, it gives me great hopes. Just as my wife and I moved to the Walla Walla Valley in 2001, my mother-in-law was paralyzed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a temporary paralysis nicknamed "French Polio". They flew her from St. Mary's Med Center to Deaconess in Spokane to save her life since her lungs were paralyzed, too. If her heart had paralyzed, she would have died, of course, but it stopped short of her heart and face, so even on a ventilator, she could blink her eyes in response.
Well, once her nerves were reconnected (brain to muscle), she was still "paralyzed" from disuse. Everything, from lungs to finger muscles, had to grow stronger. They gave her a tracheotomy for breathing assistance so now she could mouth words. (Amazingly, four out of her six children could read her lips! They became her life-line to the nursing and care staff.)
Once all that was in place, she was transferred to St. Lukes. They gave extraordinary help. Sometimes she felt like she was back in boot-camp (She was in the Army as a nurse asistant during WW II.) But they persisted and she slowly, slowly regained mobility.
After St. Lukes, she returned to the Valley at Regency at the Park and began to walk more. After Regency, she came to her own home, where we lived with her, and for the first time fed herself.
And she's still with us now at age 90! Still in her home.
I am thrilled with your recovered ability to speak with your family. What a blessing. I will continue to pray that good changes will continue. May St. Luke's prove to be a very special time of your life - and nobody will need to lip-read for you!

Hello!
Because of some major dussruptions in our lives, I haven't checked on Nick's progress for about three weeks. But I can say it was very exciting to get the latest report--he's talking now! My whole family asks me how Nick is doing, and many of my friends from church are also praying for him. Sometime I hope we can meet your family.
Just wanted to let you know that you're not forgotten, even by strangers!

Hey Nick,
You don't know us but we know your dad and mom. You have been added to our personal prayer list and our Bible study prayer list.
It is going to take you a long time to read all your e-mails and prayers that have been sent and offered on your behalf. We are sure that will be time well spent for it will represent an answer to our prayers.
You are under the care of the Great Physician that has never lost a case yet! Hang in there.
In Christ's Love,
Steve and Karen Nicola & Rio Lindo Academy Study Group
p.s. Guy and Debby,
Our God is the same God who delivered The Three Hebrew Worthies from the firey furnace, Daniel from the lion's den, kept Jonah alive in the belly of a great fish for an all expense paid weekend of 3 day and 3 nights. The same God who raised Lazurus back to life and also did a few thousand other remarakable miracles while here on earth. I'm happy to report that our God is still in business and is still working miracles even today.
Happy Sabbath,
Steve Nicola
Our family have never met your family, we live far away in Maitland, Australia but we pray daily for you all. Our church prayer group also prays daily for you all. We keep the prayer group updated via the email updates you send. We rejoice over each new development. We are looking forward to the day Nick and the rest of the family share the testimony of this journey to recovery. You will all have to give your testimony on 3abn so the rest of the world can hear of this amazing story that we are currently reading about on the updates. Guy and Debby...you have been incredible witnesses to the sustaining grace of God in such a traumatic time in your family's life. We pray for you all. The Collier family
Dear Guy, Debby, Nick and Family,
For the past 3 months, we have followed your story step by step. Thank you again for allowing all of us to be able to share in your grief, and in your joy. We also praise God that you have come through those 3 months which you will never have to repeat again. And through it all, you have caused God's name to SHINE brilliantly as you witness for Him. We continue to look forward to your note every 3 days and smile along with you as we can almost imagine Nick with his hacky sack and also for his attepts to sing along at worship. What a blessing! We will continue to Pray without ceasing. Our Love, Bruce, Val, Rhonda and Ryan Prokopetz
All things are in Gods Hands. God has given Guy and Debbie the strenght and faith to face this nearly unimaginable challenge. Praise God for all He has given. Go Nick! You are in our Prayers Love Dwight and Carolyn Sorentino
How sweet the sunshine after rain, And sweet the rest that follows pain,But sweeter far His face to see, The Son of God who died for me.But not until He calls me home, No, not till then will I beholdThe Saviour who did die for me, And bore my sins on Calvary. He suffered, bled and died alone, Alone, alone for you and me,Could I for shame reject such love, A sacrifice from God above?I do accept His sacrifice, Will serve Him now for evermore. For only such a Friend as he, Could pardon, cleanse and make me free.If you receive His pardoning grace, You'll meet Him yonder face to face,And have a home in Heaven above Where all is joy and peace and love. Then when around God's throne we meet And lowly bow at Jesus' feet,A song of praise we'll ever sing To Christ, our Saviour, Lord and King.

Hello Maniscalcos,
Even though we can't visit you everyday, like we did when Nick was in Walla Walla, we want you to know that we daily lift your family up in prayer. I love a quote in 5T "Now is the time to lay hold of our Arm of Strength...Prayer moves the Arm of Omnipotence." God is working. Our family hopes to get up to CDA the end of April. We will definately stop by for a visit. I have a story to share when we get there. You are an encouragement to so many people as we all witness your steadfast gaze upon the Great Healer. He is faithful. It is our privilege and blessing to be the same. Doug, Twila, Jordan and Shayla

Kind regards, Paula
hey Nick... James told about what happened. He actualy told me early Feb. I come regulary to your site to check in to see how your doing. When first found out about your accident i was speechless. Last week I spoke at a Youth Church, I told them about my friend, i told them about you. I hope soon you'll be able to read all this "faith" that is on the site. The faith I see through your freinds and family is the type that moves mountains! Though I'm all th way out here in the Philippines, And i know that I'll be chatting with you soon bro.
See you soon!
Tony
I was thinking about you today. I just can't seem to get you out of my head... it's like God's telling me to pray extra hard for you today. It's so exciting that you get to go home soon! I bet your whole family is exstatic.
I can't help but think about all the fun times we had together. From all the way back in Pathfinder days (remember that time we had to dress up like clowns with Levi for that skit at the teen retreat?) to all the great times at UCA(like that time Laura and I spent the night at your house). I want to thank you for being the amazing person that you are. You bring so much joy into the hearts of others... we'd be so lost without you.
The amount of people praying for you is incredible... we're so glad God is keeping you here with us. Be strong Nick.
Tana
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:30
every time i hear that verse it just gives me goose bumps. what an amazing promise. just hang in there nick. god has a great plan for your life and even though its a little confusing now he will show us all when we get to those pearly gates just what his plan was.

Hello Family,
My husband and I have been praying for Nick, as well as his parents, since the news came about his accident.
No, we don't know each other, but of course, that does not matter. What matters is that we have a God who know the end from the beginning, who knows our sincere prayers for each other, and who will hear our prayers and answer them in His time. I believe He is answering them right now, because Nick is making improvements. Little steps right now, but on the right road to recovering.
Our prayers will continue until Nick wakes up, takes charge, and can tell us what he went through all this time. God IS love, and hears our petitions for each other. Praise the Lord we serve such a wonderful God.
Keep the faith, Guy and Debby--we are praying for you, especially, as you go through such atrying time.! God will sustain you through your faith.
And thank you for the updates. We eagerly look forward to them, and wait for that final one that says--Nick's awake!

Dear Father, Our Friend in Heaven,
Thank you so much for hearing each and every one of the thousands of prayers that continue to be sent up on behalf of Nick and his family as evidenced by the progress that continues. And Lord, thank you so much for your foresight in knowing that at times, we would yearn to pray beyond our human language limitations. You gave us the promise that at the times when we don't even know what we should pray, nor how to pray as we should, that Your Spirit will come to our rescue and pray for us with such feeling, that it cannot be expressed in words, and that You, the Father, who knows all hearts, will understand what we are trying to say as the Spirit pleads for us in harmony with your will. So Lord, in our feeble words, we continue to come before you and uplift Nick, Guy, Debby, and their family, and long for your healing power to enter into Nick and restore his body, mind and spirit, so that he and his family can be a powerful evidence as to your awesome power. We place this request at your feet knowing that your plan will always have the best outcome. So where we can't see, we praise you for your eternal plan at just the right time in just the right way. Our Love and Prayers, The Prokopetz Family
Nick We love to get your updates. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers always...One of these days we will read that you are healed and we look forward to that day! God has a plan for you and we know that His plans for our lives are not always our plans, but we trust in Him and we know He will take care of us in our darkest times. We love you and pray for your healing in His time! We will never stop praying and trusting in Him!
D&S Comstock-Salem,OR
Nick I think about your every day and in my prayers always. I check each day to see what progress you are making. I just know that one of these days soon when I check the report will be "Nick is awake and is smiling ".
Dean Pascua
Nick we just want you to know that we are praying for you daily. We don't know you, have never met you, but Cheryl Wallace forwarded your updates to us and we have you in our hearts at every prayer time with our family. We were so glad to see you on the web site, you look like a great guy! We just want God's will to be done in your life and we know that He will work it out because you are in His care. We thank God for the progress that you have made.
Guy and Debbie, you are always in our prayers too, with your other kids. It is harder for you than Nick right now. We pray that God give you strength and hold you up in His strong right hand. Thank you for being to brave to share your story and lives with all of us. It increases our faith also. We are all in God's family.
Love and prayers, Dennis, Sheila, Sidney and Kelsea Allison
I am still praying for Nick everyday!! You guys are in my prayers!!
Romans 8:31
I have never had the opportunity to walk through an experience of this nature and am honored to be able to get to know and pray regularly for Nick. I don't know him or your family but after reading the progress over time I feel connected in a personal way. I look so forward to your progress reports and am excited for the day when he will speak in Chapel here at the University about his testimony.

Thank you Dear Lord for the daily miracles you are responsible for in Nick's life right now. The awesome changes his parents report are such good news. Thank you for your power, and your answering the prayers of all these prayer warriors. I praise your name, and thank you for what you've done to heal Nick. I know you have plans for this young man, and that you will continue to see Your will done in the lives of those who have prayed for Nick, and for Nick and his family. Amen
Guy and Debbie, you are an inspiration to everyone. you don't know us, and we didn't know Nick, but we are praying for you all every day. Praise the Lord for all that He has done so far in bringing healing to Nick. --A family in Yakima, WA.
Thank you for the daily updates of Nick's progress. It is so comforting to be able to see how far he has come with the help of the Lord. We continually pray for his healing, his family's strength and that he feels the love of a world wide prayer community. I continually image that the angels are crowding his room and have their hands on him at all times. We pray for God's presence at all times and know He is with all of you.
I look at your website every morning evening, watching for updates. I hope that you continue to get better, and I can't wait until you are fully awake. We pray for you every day!! Get better soon my friend.
Nick

I can't wait to get the update that says you're awake and talking. : ) Until then keep trying and we'll keep praying- Laura
Hello Guy and Debby,
Thank you so much for the nightly "updates" on Nick. You've been such a blessing to us (and a witness to many) to watch how your family has dealt with this tragedy. Your faith and trust in God is encouraging. We continue to pray for Nick each day and for you and Matt and Melina. We just pray, along with you, that the Lord will see fit to restore Nick to health soon and that he will wake up completely. It is exciting that his trach is out now! One thing at a time - one day at a time... Blessings to you. Love, Denise & John Moore
Good evening Family and Friends of Nick,
My Wife and I think so much of what God has given you all. The wisdom knowledge and ability to disply such a website as this. It makes it so easy to feel so close to some one I personally did not know. My wife and I will continue to pray for each of you, and for Nick, God is ever so close to Him.
Blessings, Mitch and Lisa
Nick, we pray for you two three times a day, and follow your progress from your Dad's daily report. We can't wait for you to wake up and find out how much you are loved by God and by thousands of people. We know you keep trying very hard, even though you don't have control over a whole lot of things. Your will to live and get well touch us and inspire us a lot; and several people have told us how your situation has inspired their teens and turned them to seek God once again. See, you are already doing God's work while you are recuperating, and we know it will be even more powerful when God finishes healing your brain and let you wake up and testify for Him. We pray that according to God's will that you will be healed completely and soon.
Guy and Debbie, we think of you and pray for you daily also. It can't be easy to be patient and keep the faith all the time. And yet your consistent faith and thankful spirit inspire us all. Our sabbath school class continue to pray for you and Nick. We pray that God's grace continues to bear your up and strengthen you, so that your faith is as pure gold tried in fire. Thanks for witnessing to us through your daily reports.
We love your all, Bill, Sally and Leah Meyerholtz
Dear family of Nick
I did not know Nick personally until I met him during the fall when he visited Portland for a weekend of skiing with his friends. He and the other "boys" a total of five in all stayed at our home. My daughter Laura had known Nick and the others from UCA and had offered our home for the guys for the weekend as their previous sleeping arrangements had fallen through. I spoke with Nick for a short time about his goals in life and what he was doing then. He was a considerate, fun house guest and all seven of us had a nice time (although I banished myself most of the time out of the kids way.) I remember teasing Nick about his bringing a small amount of spaghetti and a can of sauce for the guys. But for 4 guys they even had some left over. I did enjoy getting to know Nick for a brief time and was quite disturbed about his accident. I'm thankful for the updated website as this is a way for our family at home to follow Nick's progress. Nick is on the prayer list of many of our family and friends despite the fact that they do not know him personally. We continue to keep Nick and his family in our daily prayers. I believe that he is alive for a purpose and we continue to pray for his healing and strength for his family. It was a pleasure to meet Nick and remember his warm smile and the fun they all had that brief weekend in our home. God be with you all.

What a page for bonding! We're all hanging in here with you, Guy and Debby! We all relive bits of our lives and the pain we've seen others go through. I'd like to add to the earlier note from Cheri on the 3rd. Cheri and I hiked mountains together at Mt Ellis in the 70's and her car accident in '84 was devastating to all of us--like Nick's! Seeing Cheri go the wheelchair route and all the depressing times was so hard!! (If you read this, Cheri, please contact me at cherleiske@adelphia.net--or anyone who has contact info on Cheri please email it to me.) We're a big family with a lot of love and heaven's getting bombarded right now with the "sweet savor" of heartfelt prayers!

Nick, you and your whole family is in my prayer everytime. Christy
First of all I thank you for the updates on Nick daily. We are very dedicated in reading them every night and praying for Nick every night along with telling our freinds at work the updates. Your strength has amazed us through this whole process and you are a light that shines for our Lord. Thank you for that. God knows the time and place and I praise Him for the healing so far. Love your freinds in Christ Gloria and Andy Brito ( and Elijah David and Ashley)
My dad (Patrick Sorentino's brother) told me about the accident and I just wanted to let you know Nick is my prayer's as are all of you during this trying time.
I read about your progress everyday and share your story with everybody at work. Luckily for me and our community, everybody I work with is a Christian and you are in the prayers of so many wonderful people. I know you're working hard to wake up Nick. I know that glorious day will happen for you, your loving family and all your friends. Keep up your hard work Nick. With God's help, I know I'll be sitting in church one day listening to you give your testimony. Much love, The Melgaard Family
Our Prayers continue with each morning for Nick and the whole familly
may god keep you in the palm of his hand always.
Glen and Maureen
I don't know Nick, but I have a college-age son and can only imagine the deep anguish and pain you are going through as you watch him lying there so still and hope for some sign of awareness. May the God of all comfort (II Cor. 1:3,4) bring peace and comfort to your hearts and healing as He deems best. Just a note about healing-- I was paralyzed from a car accident in 1984 and have been in a wheelchair since then. God didn't physically heal me, although many prayers for that miracle were sent on my behalf. I found the door with the big question sign that asks WHY? to be locked tight. But the door that says “My grace is sufficient for you” was and continues to be wide open. Over all these years God's unfailing love, care and healing embrace has been wrapped around me. And so I encourage you to hold onto Him come what may. He will never fail you. In closing I want to share with you part of this beautiful quote. “Through all our trials we have a never-failing Helper. He does not leave us alone to struggle with temptation, to battle with evil, and be finally crushed with burdens and sorrow. Though now He is hidden from mortal sight, the ear of faith can hear His voice saying, “Fear not; I am with you. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever!" Rev. 1:18. I have endured your sorrows… I know your tears; I also have wept. The griefs that lie too deep to be breathed into any human ear, I know. Think not that you are desolate and forsaken… look unto Me, and live. DA 483 Love & Prayers, Cheri
Dear Father: We know that you are the author of healing and that you long for Nick to be whole just as we do. We trust that you will heal Nick in Your way and in Your time. You have promised that all things work together for good for those who love You, so, Father, we are believing that You are going to bring good even out of this trauma. You are able to turn tragedy into triumph and we pray for that. Continue to support and encourage Nick's family and friends, and enable them to be strong in faith. We praise You Father because nothing is too hard for You and because Your infinite love is so enduring. Especially bless Guy and Debbie and Mat and Melina and bring them Your mighty peace and comfort. Thank You. Susan
Dear Father in Heaven,
On this Sabbath morning I lift up my friend Nick up to you again. Lord, please give Nick a blessed Sabbath. May he experience recovery and healing. Touch his family as well. Give them a real assurance of your presence and support. Thank you for your continued watch care. Please keep touching and awakening Nick. Push the forces of darkness far from his camp. May Your will be done in Nick's life as it is in heaven. In Jesus and through His merits, I pray. Amen.Eddie Schwisow
Dear God
I pray that you will please be with nick and his family. Lord you know the pain that they are going through right now. You also know what is best for him and I pray that whatever happens that we all know that you are in control. You are the one who put nick on this earth lord and you know how much all his family and friends love him. Lord you are "The Great Healer" and Lord once again I ask you to please be with Nick and his family and let them see you presence.
Amen
Hi, Guy and Debby: I guess you are the ones I knew for a short time while I was at Hayden before Vi died, I will try to remember to pray for Nick. I never knew him or his family. Was his grandfather the artist? My present wife knew that family at PUC.
Jeanie and I live in Desert Hot Springs, CA. We have a little 21' RV, so we leave for the four hot months in the summer, and visit our children and grand and great grandchildren.
Because of the terrible stress I went through for seven and a half weeks before Vi died, my right thumb started shaking, then my arm, and went on to become Parkinsons. I, also, developed gastritis, and I didn't go to a doctor about that, I just ate Tums. So when I did go, it had developed into other problems. I am 82, but still able to golf. Vi got me started in that.
Tell others hello for me, Peter Tadej
I thought that if Nick is able to hear or at least when he can this page from Dr. Chambers would be an encouragement for him.
"Out of the Wreck I Rise"
God does not keep His child immune from trouble; He promises, "I will be with him in trouble …" (Psalm 91:15). It doesn’t matter how real or intense the adversities may be; nothing can ever separate him from his relationship to God. "In all these things we are more than conquerors …" (Romans 8:37). Paul was not referring here to imaginary things, but to things that are dangerously real. And he said we are "super-victors" in the midst of them, not because of our own ingenuity, nor because of our courage, but because none of them affects our essential relationship with God in Jesus Christ. I feel sorry for the Christian who doesn’t have something in the circumstances of his life that he wishes were not there.
"Shall tribulation …?" Tribulation is never a grand, highly welcomed event; but whatever it may be—whether exhausting, irritating, or simply causing some weakness—it is not able to "separate us from the love of Christ." Never allow tribulations or the "cares of this world" to separate you from remembering that God loves you (Matthew 13:22).
"Shall … distress …?" Can God’s love continue to hold fast, even when everyone and everything around us seems to be saying that His love is a lie, and that there is no such thing as justice?
"Shall … famine …?" Can we not only believe in the love of God but also be "more than conquerors," even while we are being starved?
Either Jesus Christ is a deceiver, having deceived even Paul, or else some extraordinary thing happens to someone who holds on to the love of God when the odds are totally against him. Logic is silenced in the face of each of these things which come against him. Only one thing can account for it—the love of God in Christ Jesus. "Out of the wreck I rise" every time.
Maniscalco Family,
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
WE are still praying that Nick will soon be healed if it is God's will. He has promised us that if we ask in His name He will answer our prayers. We ask God to heal Nick and to make him whole in His time. We will not stop praying for Nick and you his family! WE love you and pray for you daily!

Dear Maniscalcos,
I've been keeping up with the updates posted at WWU. I can't imagine the situation on a personal level, but I do know what it's like to have someone you love bed-ridden with a trachiotomy and unable to eat solid food, and I do know that God will finish what He's started. I'm so glad that you are taking this so unselfishly, to be able to say that maybe there may be just one person out there who will come to God because of this. That is so unselfish and trusting, and it awes me. I want to be like that, too.
I don't think I've actually met Nick yet, but I am a friend of his friend Mitch, and any friend of Mitch's is definitely a friend of mine. I want you to know that in spite of my not knowing Nick, I am praying for him, too.
Please be with Guy and Debby because they need wisdom and faith to deal with the hurt and pain that there are going through right know. God I knew nick for 2 years and I am hurt to.
Guy Debby
I just had a friend that just had a stroke I know how it feels
Dear Maniscalco Family,
I found out about Nick through my sister, Tirzah, who currently attends Walla Walla. Since I've been told about his accident I have asked my church, in Gilroy California, to keep him in prayer every week. I have also kept my church updated on his condition from the emails that you periodically send. Although I don't know him, we are all a family in Christ. God is the "Great Healer" and we need to keep that faith that what God does is for his names sake. My church will continue to pray for Nick and wait upon the day that he is fully recovered to rejoice in the Lord.
God Bless You.

I am praying for you guys but especially for Nick. That the Lords will might be done. I have recently been through a medical crisis in my life, though not near as traumatic, it was very life threatening. I am a testimony of God's power to answer prayer. I hope to meet you and Nick sometime if not here on this earth in heaven. My prayers are with you. God Bless!
