Hello to you all,
     It's about time to send another update on Nick.  It may come to an end soon.  Nick's improvement is slow, but continuing.  When it seems like there is no progress, someone points out the improvements they can see in Nick. He is still using his walker, but is using his four-pronged cane around the house as much as he can.  It is getting easier for him to get around.  Although Nick is a bit slow, he is negotiating stairs much better. 
     Last week Nick was fitted for a Bioness machine. It electrically stimulates muscles in his left foot and ankle to position it better while he walks.  He can walk without his leg brace while the Bioness is on.  It keeps him from rolling his ankle. 
     Nick is enrolled in a small engine repair course at North Idaho College beginning this fall.  He needs to be more mobile to fully participate in the class.  He is working on that now.
     Nick's older brother, Matthew, is getting married July 25th and Nick is trying to build his strength to be in the wedding as a groomsman.  Again, Nick needs to build more strength to be able to walk and stand up in the front.  Nick is still setting goals and works hard to achieve them. 
     When Nick was first injured, we said that it would be no less of a miracle if God healed Nick after two years instead of two weeks.  When we look at Nick we realize that God really has performed miracles for him.  Nick is truly a walking modern day miracle.  What a daily reminder of what God does for us.  We are thankful!!
